Route Accounts

Route accounts represent the cost of transporting material (usually wood) to mills. There are three separate costs that can be tracked along routes, each represented by a different route account type:

The following sections will cover the creation of various types of routes accounts that will send specified products to specified locations, and keep track of the volume flowing to the destinations and the costs associated with transporting the wood. Once the accounts have been defined and added to the PIN file they will be available in the model to create reports that summarize the transportation expenditures for each scenario, define specific map layers to view trends in the transportation model and most importantly to set objectives using the transportation accounts.
