The Map Viewer also contains 'Zoom
Out' tools that increase the amount of geographical data that
is visible in the window. Similar to the above 'Zoom In'
tools, the Map Viewer contains a
"Zoom Out"
tool which increases the extent by 50% around the center of
the current extent.
The
"Zoom Out Mode"
setting changes the behaviour of the mouse, and can
be used to drag a box across the screen. The Map Viewer will
adjust the map extent to provide the maximum enclosure
around the selection box. If the mouse is 'clicked' while in
'Zoom out Mode' the extent will be increased
around the area where the click occured.
