neighbours — Return the set of polygon features that are neighbours of a selected set of polygon features.

Syntax

neighbours(selected, distance)
              

The NEIGHBOURS function has the following arguments.

selected

A selection set that describes the polygon features to find neighbours for.

distance

The distance to search outwards for neighbours.

Description

This command will return a selection set of polygons that are neighbours of the selected polygons. A polygons is a neighbour if the smallest distance between boundaries is within the specified search distance.

The current data table must be a GeoRelationalStore, and must have a topology loaded that has a threshold distance at least as large as the specified search distance.
